Another summer chapter in Provence

We have been very lucky to enjoy an extended stay in Provence this summer. On Sunday evening, we will be setting off again for our third visit of the season. Our previous trips have been filled with early mornings at village markets, long afternoons under the plane trees and, of course, plenty of wandering through brocantes. We have returned with some wonderful finds, many of which are now waiting to be discovered in the Brocante section of our website. The summer has been hot, although thankfully not unbearably so. The villages are busy, the cicadas are in full voice and the countryside is increasingly in need of rain. So far, the Luberon has been spared the devastating fires seen elsewhere. Touch wood it remains that way. Despite the dry landscape, Provence continues to offer golden evening light, lively markets and those small moments that make us slow down..

Treasures from the brocante

Our Brocante collection will continue to grow throughout the summer, with unique and reasonably priced finds from markets across Provence. Delivery is planned for early September. Looking for something in particular? Send me a message and I will keep an eye out.

The Citroën C15: The Unofficial Car of Rural France

For many people, the 2CV or Renault 4 represents classic rural France. For me, it is the Citroën C15: practical, dependable and full of character, with memories of childhood journeys through the Provençal countryside!
