We have been very lucky to enjoy an extended stay in Provence this summer. On Sunday evening, we will be setting off again for our third visit of the season.

Our previous trips have been filled with early mornings at village markets, long afternoons under the plane trees and, of course, plenty of wandering through brocantes. We have returned with some wonderful finds, many of which are now waiting to be discovered in the Brocante section of our website.

The summer has been hot, although thankfully not unbearably so. The villages are busy, the cicadas are in full voice and the countryside is increasingly in need of rain. So far, the Luberon has been spared the devastating fires seen elsewhere. Touch wood it remains that way. Despite the dry landscape, Provence continues to offer golden evening light, lively markets and those small moments that make us slow down..

Our Brocante collection will continue to grow throughout the summer, with unique and reasonably priced finds from markets across Provence. Delivery is planned for early September. Looking for something in particular? Send me a message and I will keep an eye out.

<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #44403C;">Set of four vintage goblets in dusty rose pink, handmade in the bubbled glass associated with Biot in Provence. Their rounded bowls, short stems and gently irregular finish reflect traditional mouth-blown craftsmanship.</h3>
Story: Found in a brocante in Ménerbes, Provence, in July 2026.
Condition: Good vintage condition. It bears signs of age adding to its unique charm. The original metal top and lever remain in place, together with the internal glass tube. Each glass has its own individual pattern of bubbles, giving the set wonderful texture and character.
Estimated era: mid 2000s
Dimensions: ⌀:7cm x 14cm

Set of Four Vintage Biot Pink Bubble Glass Goblets

<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #44403C;">Beautiful vintage tian dish in a warm honey ochre glaze. A traditional piece of Provençal kitchenware, made by Poterie Ravel of Aubagne, founded in 1837. Its generous shape and practical side handles make it a characterful piece for serving and bringing rustic Provençal warmth to the table.</h3>
Story: Found in a brocante in Banon, Provence, in July 2026.
Condition: Good vintage condition, with light surface wear, marks and patina consistent with age and use. The underside shows some expected wear from previous use.
Estimated era: mid 2000s
Dimensions: ⌀:33cm x 7cm

Vintage Provençal tian dish, yellow glazed terracotta, signed Ravel

<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #44403C;">Beautiful antique French soda siphon dating from the early 20th century, in a striking deep aqua blue. Characterful piece of French café history, perfect displayed on a kitchen shelf &nbsp;or as part of a collection of glassware.</h3>
Story: Found in a brocante in Banon, Provence, in July 2026.
Condition: Good antique condition. It bears signs of age adding to its unique charm. The original metal top and lever remain in place, together with the internal glass tube. The spring-loaded mechanism still moves, although it has not been tested and is sold purely as a decorative piece.
Estimated era: early 1900s
Dimensions: ⌀:11cm x 33cm

Antique French soda siphon, blue glass

<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #44403C;">Substantial vintage Provençal storage jar, signed Ravel and made in Aubagne. Its rounded terracotta body is left naturally unglazed, contrasting beautifully with the warm honey ochre glaze around the neck and rim. Ideal as a floor vase, planter or decorative vessel.</h3>
Story: Found in a brocante in Ménerbes, Provence, in July 2026.
Condition: Good vintage condition, with a couple of small chips to the glaze around the rim and light marks consistent with age and previous use.
Estimated era: mid 2000s

The "A l'eau" tells you this is a cordial, and it's a strong one at that, being served with 7 parts water! Made with lemon juice and all natural ingredients, it's popular with all ages."&nbsp;

What&nbsp;we say:&nbsp;"This tabbouleh is a cold refreshing salad, made with fresh vegetable, aromatic plants, olive oil, and lemon juice. It's so easy to prepare, ideal for a packed lunch or a great healthy alternative to ready-made meals"
Ingredients:&nbsp;Tomatoes, water, onions, olive oil 7.5%, lemon juice, salt, mint, parsley, spices&nbsp;and aromatic herbs.
